What your day will look like
The Credit & Collection Specialist manages the organization’s accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely customer payments, accurate financial records, and minimal bad debt exposure. This position collaborates closely with internal teams to optimize cash flow, enforce credit policies, and support overall financial performance while balancing customer service with effective collections practices.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage the collection of receivables in line with internal procedures
- Follow up on overdue invoices, resolve disputes, negotiate payment plans with customers
- Ensure high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction in all interactions
- Prepare monthly and quarterly A/R portfolio reports
- Review delinquent accounts to identify root causes and recommend long‑term corrective actions
- Perform account reconciliations and assist the payment allocation process
- Identify accounts requiring escalation and coordinate with internal teams or external partners
- Set up and manage automated dunning communications for overdue invoices
What you need to fulfill the role
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite
- Expertise in using a financial software (e.g NetSuite, SAP)
- Proficient in using Salesforce
- Demonstrated strength in negotiation and conflict resolution
- Proficient in interpreting aging reports, customer ledgers, and account-level financial data to identify variances and root causes
- Solution‑oriented approach to overcoming collection challenges
- Effective task prioritization and consistent adherence to deadlines in fast‑paced environments
