Our Data Protection team is a small, collaborative group that works closely across departments to ensure data protection is integrated into everything we do.
We value openness, mutual support, and a work environment where people are encouraged to take ownership and grow. We believe work should support your life, not compete with it, we believe in succeeding as a team and learning together. We’re looking for someone like us—with curiosity, independence, optimism and a sense of humor—to join the team and grow with us.
What your day will look like
What we're looking for:
- We’re looking for a mid-level data protection specialist to help us strengthen and mature our privacy program. This is a hands-on role with a wide range of responsibilities, ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and operational work.
- You should be passionate about Data Protection and enjoy helping your colleagues navigate regulations and compliance requirements.
- You excel at bridging the gap between data protection laws and the operational needs of a SaaS business, using regulations as a framework to enable growth rather than create barriers.
- You’re curious by nature. You don’t need someone to tell you what to do—you’ll seek it out. You can juggle different projects and shift gears between projects. You bring optimism into your work, and you're not afraid of (or bored by) the tricky bits of data protection.
You believe in:
- Clarity over jargon
- Teamwork over ego
- Progress over perfection
In this role, you’ll actively support the Data Protection Officer in implementing strategic initiatives within the department.
One day you’ll write a privacy notice, the next you’ll be reviewing an AI-powered tool or implementing data protection in a new product. No two days are the same, and we like it that way.
Here’s a peek at what you might do:
- Contribute to growing and maturing our privacy program across the organization
- Write and review privacy notices that people actually want to read
- Analyze new tools and vendors from a privacy standpoint
- Support in Data Protection Agreement work
- Support our ongoing data mapping and documentation efforts (yes, it's complex—but you won’t be alone!)
- Raise data protection awareness within the company
- Help define internal Policies and Procedures regarding data protection
- Help run DPIAs and tackle AI risk assessments when needed
- Support the Data Protection Officer
What you need to fulfill the role
We’re not looking for perfection—we’re looking for someone smart, self-driven, and collaborative.
Must-have:
- ~5 years of experience in data protection or a related privacy role
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR (bonus points for other data protection laws too).
- Curiosity about new technologies (especially AI) and how they intersect with privacy
- Solid understanding of IT security principles and how they impact data protection
- Fluent English speaker
- Experience working with One Trust or similar privacy tools
- Interest in and preferably experience with AI and new technologies
- Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment
- Ownership mindset—you follow through and you care
Nice-to-have:
- Law degree (bonus if you’ve worked for international companies)
- Data protection certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM)
- German language skills (not essential, but always a plus)
- Prior experience in SaaS or tech environments
