As Group Head of EPMO (m/f/d) you support the strong growth and constant change of the thinkproject group by driving cross-divisional projects and initiatives to increase efficiency, managing the further development of the most important systems and supporting the change process.


  • Lead independently group-wide major projects and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project management plan in collaboration with sponsor and main stakeholders including time lines, team resources and budget
  • Track and escalate project timeline, budget and quality and provide project progress status reports
  • Track project performance using appropriate KPIs, metrics, tools, and techniques and escalate identified project risks
  • Ensure the effective close down of projects and the capture of lessons learnt
  • Collaborate closely with management, sponsor, and stakeholders
  • Identify project risks and recommend appropriate resolutions
  • Advise and support the IT senior management team in developing IT change policy in accordance with business requirements, responding to and providing tactical direction for business change when necessary
  • Lead and coach diverse functional project teams in a matrix organization


  • Professional qualification and experience in establishing an E-PMO and owning project management in an international SaaS business or the IT Industry
  • Multiple years of experience in project management in matrix organizations and ideally in Change Management
  • Ability to combine project management standards with a high paced change environment
  • Proven planning skills with the ability to manage and coordinate complex projects and organize workloads in a structured way within tight deadlines
  • PRINCE2 or ITILv3 Foundation qualified
  • Experience of building strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver high quality reports and presentations to colleagues at all levels
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills as well as a strong customer focus
  • Fluency in English is essential, German a plus
