What your day will look like

The Head of Procurement is responsible for leading and managing the procurement function to ensure the efficient acquisition of goods and services that meet the organization’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements. This role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating high-value contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The Head of Procurement will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business objectives and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to support organizational goals
  • Lead contract negotiations to secure optimal terms and mitigate risk
  • Oversee supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, ethical, and corporate standards
  • Analyse procurement data and market trends to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and plan purchases
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency
  • Manage procurement budgets and track cost-saving initiatives
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the procurement team
  • Report regularly to senior management on procurement performance and opportunities
  • ·Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures

What you need to fulfill the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering change and new processes
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of contract law, compliance standards, and risk management
  • Fluency in English is essential
