As a IT Business Analyst you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between IT and business operations, assisting the organisation in transformation projects and raising the maturity of IT service delivery.The IT Business Analyst will be required to bridge the gap between the business needs and the technological solutions. This role involves understanding the business requirements, analysing processes, and recommending solutions that align with the company's strategic goals. The IT Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the technology solutions meet the business objectives and improve overall efficiency.
 

What your day will look like

Main responsibilities:
 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and communicate with stakeholders, including senior business leaders, to understand and document their requirements.  Maintain strong relationships to ensure needs are met and expectations are managed.

  • Data Analysis: Gather, review, and analyse business and industry data, including KPIs, financial reports, and other key metrics using data analytics tools.

  • Process Improvement: Evaluate current processes and systems to identify areas for improvement, including business process and capability modelling.

  • Documentation: Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations.
  • Recommending Solutions: Develop solutions with assistance and support from relevant technical/ solution architects, aligned with stakeholder requirements. Ensure solutions are planned and designed with an adherence to budgets, standards, best practice, architectural principles, and strategic goals. The IT Business Analyst will be tasked to support the implementation teams in the delivery of solutions.

  • Reporting: Create reports, dashboards, and visualisations of business and service performance to assist understanding and to inform business decision making. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the business analysis process.
 

What you need to fulfill the role

  • Proven experience of business capability modelling, requirements gathering, business process mapping, and process improvement, desirably in a similar industry.
  • To be successful in performing their duties the ideal candidate will be accustomed to managing and cultivating professional relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience of working with stakeholders from differing backgrounds and cultures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field; CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification is desired.
  • Familiarity and proficiency with data analysis and project management software.
