Intercompany Accountant (m/f/d)

What your day will look like
- Prepare, manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts across all group entities on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of intercompany activities in accordance with the month and year end close timetable
- Prepare intercompany invoices and payments ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and the group intercompany and transfer pricing policies
- Coordinate with various departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders ensuring intercompany transactions are identified and correctly recorded
- Assist with the consolidation process, ensuring accurate intercompany eliminations in preparation for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to intercompany activities
- Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits, ensuring transparency in intercompany accounting and related processes
- Maintain and update intercompany accounting policies and procedures
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and to strengthen internal controls and financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate routine tasks related to intercompany accounting.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects or other tasks as required
What you need to fulfill the role
Experience (technical / leadership)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Several years of experience in intercompany accounting or a similar role
Functional expertise or method expertise
• Understanding of intercompany policies, transfer pricing, and international tax considerations
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for financial accuracy
• Proactive and solution oriented
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work with cross functional teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of international accounting standards and regulations
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite) and MS Office Suite
