As part of the thinkproject group, thinkproject conclude is a high-quality service provider for innovative software solutions for demanding construction projects. We are looking for a Junior System Administrator (m/f/d) for our Operations team at the Wuppertal site. You will be responsible for monitoring and organising IT services and IT infrastructure. You will guarantee the reliable operation of our data centres, customer satisfaction and the highly available SaaS infrastructure of thinkproject conclude. Modern equipment and agile methods support you in managing complex tasks. With the increasing integration of our products, there are more and more opportunities to work with new products.

Engage, empower & learn | Your tasks

  • Support and management of several data centres in NRW
  • Incident, problem and risk identification, resolution and continuous optimisation of the thinkproject platform (CentOS, Apache, SQL-Server)
  • Design, implementation, administration and continuous optimisation of monitoring solutions (New Relic)
  • Ensuring ongoing and highly available operations (>99.9%) through further developments and technological adjustments
  • Carrying out updates for our SaaS products during maintenance windows, including software releases, patching and vulnerability scans
  • Supporting the business in its transition to cloud technologies, in particular Azure IaaS and PaaS
  • Working closely with our software development teams. Implement devops 
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation
  • Work closely with our security and compliance team to improve IT security and maintain the company's ISO27001 certification
  • Understand thinkproject DR processes and actively participate in DR exercises
  • Administration of office hardware

Open-minded, committed & versatile | Your profile

  • Training as an IT specialist - system integration or a comparable qualification
  • You have initial practical experience in the administration of Linux infrastructures (e.g. Red Hat / CentOS)
  • You have know-how in cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or have a great desire to familiarise yourself with them
  • You have solid knowledge of the German and English language
