Thinkproject is a European market-leader in digitalisation tools for construction companies. It sounds complex, but we'll explain further! Construction companies used to use manual administration and physical paperwork for projects (sometimes hundreds of thousands of bits of paperwork for one project!). What your day will look like
- Project Leadership: Manage projects from initiation to successful closure, ensuring effective handover to the relevant functions by applying established project management methodologies and best practices.
- Progress & Performance Management: Take responsibility for tracking project progress, controlling scope, timelines, and deliverables, and ensuring successful completion. Manage documentation, including project plans, charters, budget forecasts, project logs, and tracking tools, change management and risk mitigation.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring that all resources are effectively aligned with project objectives. Define clear project scope and establish measurable goals and milestones.
- Program/Portfolio Governance: If the project is part of a larger program or portfolio, adhere to Program Governance and report directly to the Project Director. For standalone projects, report to the Project Sponsor, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to internal teams and external clients, addressing project progress, issues, exceptions, and potential risks. Facilitate clear and open communication to ensure all parties are aligned.
- Timeline & Quality Assurance: Monitor project milestones and ensure on-time delivery of key deliverables and final products, while maintaining high standards of quality across all project phases.
- Resource & Cost Management: Track and manage external partner resources and costs, ensuring that vendors and third-party service providers meet project requirements and performance expectations.
What you need to fulfill the role
- Education: Completed education at HBO or WO level (or equivalent).
- Willigness to travel is required
- 5-10 years of Project Management experience, out of which at least 5 years as Project Manager/ Lead having managed and led projects and teams individually.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of industry software solutions, best practices, and service delivery standards, as well as familiarity with the TP portfolio is a plus.
- Functional Expertise: Project Manager certificate, one of the following certificates PRINCE2 Practitioner Certificate, PMI Certificate or SCRUM Master are a plus
- Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors, specifically in relation to the asset management lifecycle. Experience with software implementation projects
- Stakeholder Management: Experience navigating complex, politically sensitive environments, with the ability to manage various stakeholders effectively.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Team Collaboration: A team player with strong leadership abilities, able to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams toward achieving shared goals
