What your day will look like
- Review contractual terms and ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS 15
- Analyse revenue development by customer as part of the month end closing and review variances to forecast / budget
- Drive process improvement initiatives and maintain strong controls around the completeness and accuracy of revenue
- Assist in drafting group revenue recognition policies & procedures
- Prepare revenue reports and analyse revenue KPIs (e.g. monthly recurring revenue, churn, new business)
- Sparring partner for Group and Local Accounting, Order management, Billing, Sales and Delivery regarding revenue recognition and reporting
- Assist with revenue forecasting and analyzing bookings to revenue conversion
What you need to fulfill the role
- University degree in accounting, finance, or related filed. Professional accounting certification is highly desirable
- 7+ years’ experience in Controlling / Accounting. Previous Big4 experience and knowledge of SaaS business models would be an advantage
- Good understanding of IFRS 15 and hands-on experience in its practical application
- Very good Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with NetSuite, SalesForce and LucaNet is beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English and ideally very good German skills
- Comfortable to work in a fast-paced international environment
