What your day will look like

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Sales Compensation Specialist to support the design, administration, and optimization of our global sales compensation programs. Reporting to the Sales Compensation Lead, this role will play a key part in ensuring accurate commission calculations, improving transparency for our sales teams, and enabling scalable compensation processes as we grow. 
This is a highly cross-functional role working closely with Sales, Finance, RevOps, and HR.

Main responsibilities:

Compensation Administration

  • Calculate and validate monthly and quarterly commission payouts 
  • Maintain and update compensation plans  
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data inputs from CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and other systems 
  • Investigate and resolve commission inquiries and disputes from sales teams

Data & Analysis 

  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities 
  • Support forecasting of commissions and accruals in partnership with Finance 
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards for sales performance and compensation tracking 
  • Perform audits to ensure compliance with compensation policies and financial controls 

Process Improvement 

  • Identify inefficiencies in current compensation processes and propose scalable solutions 
  • Support automation initiatives and system enhancements within the ICM and CRM ecosystem 
  • Contribute to documentation of compensation rules, processes, and policies 

Plan Support & Execution 

  • Assist in the rollout of new compensation plans, including testing and validation 
  • Model compensation scenarios and provide insights to the Sales Compensation Lead 
  • Support annual and quarterly plan changes, including communication materials and documentation 

What you need to fulfill the role

Experience 

  • 2–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, or Compensation Analytics 
  • Experience working with sales compensation or commission processes is strongly preferred 
  • Proficient with tools like Salesforce and Excel/Google Sheets (advanced level required) 
  • Experience with compensation tools (e.g., CaptivateIQ, Xactly, Spiff) is a plus 

Skills 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail 
  • Ability to work with large datasets and reconcile discrepancies 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring deadlines 
  • Clear communication skills, especially when explaining compensation logic to non-technical stakeholders 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and handle sensitive/confidential information
