In this role your mission is to provide security oversight, guidance, and practical support to our staff across the IT landscape, including application development, networks, infrastructure operations and endpoint management. Mitigate against monetary loss and reputational damage for the business by implementing and maintaining robust security measures.
You are responsible for ensuring compliance with security industry standards and regulations to meet the organizations regulatory requirements.

What your day will look like

  • Provide security focused support, across a wide range of security technologies
  • Manage security risk within the organization, ensuring for proactive identification, assessment and mitigation of potential threats
  • Support our compliance team in developing security and privacy policies within an ISO27001 accredited ISMS.
  • Identify opportunities to improve security; propose / implement suitable solutions.
  • Analyse and respond to security threats, reporting findings into a wider incident response team.
  • Undertake regular internal and external security assessments of our infrastructure, manage findings to completion, supporting our development teams as required. Support trusted external partners conducting security assessments on the organization’s behalf.
  • Day to day management of a suite of common security products, E.g. Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), FortiGate, Sophos, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Azure security tools, O365 MFA / Conditional Access / AIP / Endpoint, CrowdStrike, Kaspersky, Cloudflare, Qualys & KnowB4
  • Use of security testing tools such as Qualys, Nmap and Metasploit to identify and fix security weaknesses.
  • Manage and address reported faults related to security products and services

What you need to fulfill the role

Essential:
  • More than 2 years of experience in an IT security role
  • Azure / Azure AD administration experience
  • Azure & (AWS) technologies / services experience: IAM o Endpoint (Intune); Conditional Access; MFA o Identity Management; Access Reviews
  • Technical understanding of common IT systems / concepts, including: DNS (public and private); TCP/IP; Firewalling; Active Directory; Email exchange; APIs; Encryption; Access control; Development; Infrastructure as code; Patch Management
  • Practical knowledge or common cyber security standards (ISO27001, C5, Cyber Essentials, etc.)
  • Security technology solutions knowledge/experience as follows: Web security gateway; Email security gateway; Endpoint security; Web application firewall; Firewall and Threat prevention; DDOS protection; SIEM; Privileged access management; Vulnerability and penetration testing; Application/code security analysis
