What your day will look like

The Senior Procurement Consultant is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, negotiating supplier contracts, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver value, drive cost efficiencies, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the sourcing and procurement of goods and services across various categories
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal value for the organisation
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring performance and service levels are met
  • Ensure full compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and provide expert guidance
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage any issues or disputes effectively
  • Prepare procurement reports, spend analyses, and market insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies and process improvements
  • Stay abreast of market trends, innovations, and best practices in procurement
  • Provide support to the Head of Procurement and mentor junior team members where appropriate

What you need to fulfill the role

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional qualification)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or a similar role. 
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles and practices,  including negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, contract law, and negotiation techniques
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
