Want to work in a culture built on mutual trust and respect? How about having the freedom to make work fit into your life (and not the other way round)? A career with Thinkproject could be just the opportunity you're looking for.

What do we do?
Thinkproject is a European market-leader in digitalisation tools for construction companies. It sounds complex, but we'll explain further! Construction companies used to use manual administration and physical paperwork for projects (sometimes hundreds of thousands of bits of paperwork for one project!). Using our construction intelligence solutions, businesses can go digital, which benefits everyone from the construction companies to the wider public.
Our mission is to deliver digitalisation to make a safer, healthier and more sustainable AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Operations) industry. This is a really exciting time to join our company, since our founding in 2000 we have gone from strength-to-strength and have lots of exciting developments coming up soon that you could be a part of.

You would join a team working on our industry leading BIM product in Essen or work remotely from anywhere in Germany. We provide a strong team atmosphere with the Essen crew working on the product from the early days and being part of a bigger international team.

We, here at Thinkproject, are planning a big growth for the future, therefore our ideal candidate (m/f/d) has strong C++ software engineering skills and experience in building scalable software.

What your day will look like

  • Further enhance and improve our industry leading BIM product.
  • Extract and build key components for our new cloud based BIM solution.
  • Make an impact by collaborating with system engineers, quality assurance engineers and product managers.
  • Make sure the existing product runs smoothly for our customers, including some maintenance and testing.

What you need to fulfill the role

  • Experience in Software Engineering (academia or industry)
  • Good understanding of common domain practices (CI/CD, quality aspects such as performance, scalability, security)
  • Extensive experience in C++
  • Willingness to be an active contributor to our growing team and organization
  • Nice to have experience in the following areas: Qt; Javascript, React, C#; Webservices
  • Experience in running applications on MS Azure and Azure DevOps is a plus
